PixelHeads: 3D modelling with Blender

  • The National Videogame Arcade 24-32 Carlton Street Nottingham, England, NG1 1NN United Kingdom (map)

This is a 2 day course: Thursday 3rd - Friday 4th August, 10:00-16:00 each day.

Ever wondered how things are represented in 3D on your computer?

Join us for a 2 day introduction to all things 3D! During the session we will be using Blender; a professional free and open-source 3D computer graphics software used for creating animated films, visual effects, art, 3D printed models, interactive 3D applications and video games.

Learn about basic geometry, polygons and asset development. Start creating your own 3D object and learn about the process that animates and videogame makers use to create the latest blockbusters.

Participants should be confident using a text-based language (such as Python or JavaScript). Those who have only used drag-and-drop programs like Scratch may not be equipped for the level of activity.

We have a laptop available for each participant, but if you want to bring your own, please make sure you have downloaded Blender before you arrive. We keep our class sizes small, so please book early to avoid disappointment.
